Our Adventure Centre and Café is nestled between the wild Tasman Sea to the West and the rainforest covered limestones cliffs to the East, in the historic Goldmining township of Charleston.
Base yourself here as you explore this heritage-rich area. Enjoy a short walk around our rugged coastal cliffs, or along the new Kawatiri Coastal Trail. Experience a local Gold Tour, swim or fish at nearby beaches and rivers, or simply enjoy a quiet place to relax amidst the spectacular views.

Treat yourself to a delicious barista-made MacKenzie Coffee or a succulent West Coast Pie Company wild-game pie. We make and stock a wide range of sweet and savoury treats and will even make a Real-Fruit Ice Cream on the spot for you.
Enjoy the your food, coffee and sea and mountain views in the sunshine on our wrap-around deck, or head to the rooftop viewing platform to take in the full, spectacular 360 degree vista.
Our cafe can host up to 60 people; upon request we can provide a buffet style lunch for groups. This can be pre or post one of our adventures, or simply as part of a group excursion while exploring this stunning part of the West Coast. Call or email and we will tailor the perfect luncheon for your needs.
